Hearts We Leave Behind

By

Must read

The book is like a warm cup of tea on a rainy day. A warm shower when it's freezing outside, and for those who love chocolate, this is it.

I wasn't expecting this book to be so good, I am so glad that I found this, or maybe it found me.

The story is about three small-town sisters who are different flowers from the same garden. Daisy, Willo, and Stella are three very different characters trying to navigate through life. Stella the oldest is competitive, practical, and entirely focused on work and making it big. For her brand is everything and she is not emotional about anything. Willow, the middle child is the mediator, she is a psychologist and the character I related the most with.

Daisy the youngest is like a cupcake, she wants everything to be together, for her life is all about family. She has a beautiful little dream-like family. Stella left home and broke all bonds with her and Daisy wants to bring her home as their Dad isn't doing well healthwise. A tragic tale follows and soon,Stella's diagnosed with serious heart disease and needs a new heart, she gets one luckily but with a new heart she gets a new personality. It also becomes the reason for her to reconnect with her family members, the new heart becomes her doorway to her old home and family.

The book left tears in my eyes, the language is easy and the flow is very natural, for me it was a complete page-turner. It is an emotional roller coaster but in the end, it left me smiling, because life always works out in ways you don't imagine.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. HAPPY READING.
